Middle East largest machining shop for cylinder heads and blocks will be put into operation in IKCO soon
“Producing the world’s most modern engines with less fuel consumption and emission is the significant outcome of this plan,” said Najmeddin, IKCO CEO and added, “promoting the machining shop for cylinder head and cylinder block of TU engines leads to independence in production of the engine’s important parts as well as quality improvement, employment and localization of new technologies in assembly and machining equipment.”
Najmeddin also referred to the first mechanized press parts warehouse in the Middle East, which is supposed to be put into operation soon.
“This mechanized press parts warehouse is one of IKCO’s biggest development projects in exploiting the latest technologies. It is highly adjustable and lessens the related transportation damages.”
He further referred to the 25% quality increase of the parts as one of the outcomes of this system and added, “Operating this warehouse and utilizing modern transportation equipment accompanied by the resulted safety in parts transportation, will lessen damages and repetitive work rate by 15%. The project can also reduce the expenses for extra warehouses, work force, equipment and transportation by 57 million dollars.”
