3 New Products & 2 Models of the Year
IKCO CEO elucidated the company’s eight-month performance in the current year and plans in the years ahead during IDRO CEO visit to this company.
Referring to the increase in the production and sales of the company as well as the plans to introduce new products while boosting quality, Najmeddin said, “IKCO’s market share considering value and volume increased from 45.4% and 52.7% in the last year to 51.4% and 59% in November this year respectively.”
“IKCO sold 411,182 sets of different vehicles in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (Mar 21 to Nov 21), 24 percent more than the same period last year”, he mentioned. Najmeddin then pointed to Soren ELX and Samand SE introduction to the market and by the end of the Iranian calendar year and added, “Peugeot 207i will be unveiled in manual and automatic versions in the current year and the production capacity of this car will be five thousand units per annum.”
“New Pars LX and ELX with boosted safety and comfort features and lower fuel consumption in comparison with its basic model will hit domestic and foreign markets soon,” he continued. Najmeddin then referred to the 10% increase in the annual production, 2 to 3 percent profit margin acceleration in global sales and finally plans for 5% cost price reduction in supply network as IKCO’s important upcoming outlines and said, “Presenting three new products and two diversified models for each year is a part of IKCO’s agenda.”
He then referred to an average of 14 percent increase in the annual sales as well as boosting up production of high tech economy engines as other IKCO’s future plans. Following Najmeddin talks, Majid Hedayat, IDRO (Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran) new CEO said, “Automakers should move toward increasing the quality and reducing the cost of products and producing low consumption vehicles.”
It is noteworthy that IDRO CEO and his entourage paid a visit to robotic production lines, engine and assembly shops and New Product Development and Design Center.
